What is a WTN?

WTN means Waste Transfer Note. It records non-hazardous waste transfers in the UK.

A Waste Transfer Note (WTN) is a legal record used when waste is moved from one party to another in the UK.

It normally includes who produced the waste, who collected it, what the waste is, and when it was transferred.

You should keep WTN records as part of your compliance paperwork. If details are wrong or missing, you can face enforcement action.

Guidance only. This is not legal advice. Verify with UK regulations before submitting compliance documents.
